There are basically 3 reasons to be on the attach. 1st, passive evangelism is not working and our world shows it in its march down the road of the most perverse depravity possible. As a result of passive Christianity, the U.S. is now a post-christian country and all manner of depravity has invaded all the institutions of our society. 2nd, we are at war with the spiritual powers in the high places, that are working behind those in leadership and those who have influance in government, business and education. The result is an ongoing brainwashing of people who no longer are capable of critical thought. 3rd, the answer to this warfare is the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ using the sword of the Word of God. Society will change only when men and women change through the power of the Holy Spirit who changes their lives from the inside out and those changed people will change our world.
Attack Evangelism is being on the offense without being offensive. The way in which this is done is through the process of asking questions, because the person asking the questions is in control of the conversation. For example, "Has anyone every taken a Bible and shown you how you can know for sure that you are going to heaven? May I?" When a person voices an objection, then we can reply, "What is there about your life that has brought you to that conclusion?" There are 4 major concerns that people have; What is real? What is true? What is the meaning of life? What happens when we die? Any questions about any of those primary subjects will either start a conversation or enhance an ongoing conversation.
